Introduction
SMETAR is a weather monitoring tool. It accesses the METAR database, and displays it in a human-friendly fashion.
Important notices
As of november 2010, a server software upgrade at weather.noaa.gov required HTTP 1.0 negotiations. You should use SMETAR 0.88 or newer to deal with it.
As of december 2007, has been reported that the METAR information provided by the NOAA which is used by SMETAR, has changed its location to weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/observations/metar/decoded. You will need to update SMETAR to version 0.60 or later in order to work.

Currently SMETAR is only localized in english.
